Welcome to HelmuthGoede.Com
Masks have been an important part of the Mexican culture and traditions throughout history.
Even today, these wonderfully carved pieces of folk art are worn during ceremonies and festivals in many different parts of Mexico. Each mask is unique and represents a special character in the performance of a dance or play. The productions are accompanied by traditional music. It is considered a high honor to be chosen to perform and to wear one of these special masks.
The collection on display was purchased by Sherry Raynor of Lansing, Michigan while living in Mexico in the 1970’s. The prices range from $295 to $1,500. This is a raw opportunity to see many old Mexican Masks in one place.
